Akula quits Vijayawada Congress chief post
Vijayawada: Vexed with the attitude of party leadership in neglecting him in day-to-day activities, city Congress president Akula Srinivas Kumar resigned from his post here on Wednesday.
Talking to media, Srinivas Kumar said that as the city Congress chief he was answerable to party workers and added he could not discharge his duties efficiently with the negligent attitude of party leadership. Without referring any names of leaders, Srinivas Kumar said that he was totally neglected in the day-to-day functions of party.
Srinivas Kumar said that he was leaving the post with a heavy heart. “However, I will continue as the party worker,” he added. Sources in the party said Srinivas Kumar had referred AP Mahila Congress chief Sunkara Padmasri behind his resignation.
PCC official spokesman Kolanukonda Sivaji said already 100 Congress leaders left the party due to her behaviour. “Malladi Vishnu left the party due to her behaviour,” he recalled.
