Con couple held, 3 lakh property recovered

Nellore: Chinna Bazar Police have arrested a couple who involved in house breaking crime and recovered Rs.3 lakh cash and gold ornaments from them. The accused were identified as Kamineni Harika and his husband Kamineni Srihari.  

According to Chinna Bazar Circle Inspector Md Abdul Subhan, Harika and Srihari got married two years ago. Harika was in love with Srihari while she was studying degree at VR College. Parents of Harika did not agree  for their marriage.

So, they got married and were residing in a rented house at Virat Nagar in the city. ``Harika and Srihari found duplicate keys of Shaik Mehaboob Basha’s house in the colony. On 16th May, Mehaboob Basha along with his family members left to other place for attending a private function of their relatives.  

Harika and her husband have stolen Rs 3 lakh cash and other gold ornaments from the house, said the CI. Shaik Mehaboob Basha from the same colony has been working as contractor in the city and lodged a complaint about house breaking with the Chinnabazar Police May 17.

Police started investigation and with the help of CC cameras, nabbed the accused. Police recovered Rs.3 lakh cash, 60 gms of gold ornaments and also silver ornaments from the accused. Sub-Inspectors Sk Kareem and B Gopal were present at the press meet.
