The Opposition leader alleged that the Chief Minister and the members of Janmabhoomi committees were harassing people. Naidu stated that the horse-trading in Karnataka had hurt him but how did he purchase 23 YSRCP MLAs, Jagan questioned. Four of them were made Ministers in the State Cabinet, he pointed out.

The YSRCP chief wondered why Naidu failed to fulfill the promises he made to people of Kolleru region during 2014 elections. Earlier, Naidu had joined hands with the BJP and continued the alliance for four years. Subsequently, he came out of the NDA to throw blame on BJP. Now Naidu is looking for a new bride (Congress), he criticised.

Jagan assured Kolleru people that after coming to power, he would issue orders for resurvey of Kolleru contours and select a person as MLC who possessed complete knowledge on Kolleru problems.  The Opposition leader promised to focus on the problems of the prawn and fish farmers who incurred huge losses during the last four years under Chandrababu Naidu’s rule.

He said that if YSRCP comes to power, he will supply power to prawn farmers at Rs 1.50 per unit. He would prevent role of middlemen right from seed purchase to selling crop. He also assured of minimum support price (MSP) to the prawn farmers. He pointed out that during former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s regime, the fish and prawn farmers were provided power at 0.90 paise per unit.

Now the TDP government was collecting Rs 3.80 per unit. It was also imposing burden of additional charges worth lakhs of rupees, he said. Jagan said that he would establish food processing units in the sea coast within three years and on the fourth year, MSP would be announced for prawn.

He reiterated that free education would be provided to the children coming from poor families.  Every year Rs 15,000 would be sanctioned under ‘Amma Odi’ scheme to the mothers who send their children to schools.
