Naveen gives clarification on IT raid

Kakinada: The IT sleuths from Visakhapatnam zone raided the residence  of Jaggampeta TDP MLA Jyotula Nehru and his son Jyotula Naveen, East Godavari Zilla Parishad Chairman, at Irripaka village on Tuesday. 

It may be recalled that father and son shifted  their loyalties to TDP from YSRCP more than a year ago. Rumours began to spread that the father-son duo was offered some special benefits, including monetory benefit apart from Zilla Parishad chief post to Jyotula Naveen.

After visiting the IT office here on Wednesday, Naveen clarified the IT officers enquired about the warehouse godown owned by them earlier under the joint family at Samalkot in East Godavari district.

He said the IT officials sought certain clarifications over the sale deed of godown and about the financial transitions in that case. Naveen also clarified that as they belong to an agriculture family and did not give much preference for submitting the IT returns. He disclosed that they are prepared to pay the arrears as pointed out by the IT department.
