Railway quiz evokes good response

Visakhapatnam: A quiz competition conducted by East Coast Railway Sports Association evoked good response with the students participating in the programme with enthusiasm.

Quiz master Rahul was at his best while putting the general knowledge of students to test during the rounds of quizzing that went on for close to five hours. Over 500 students of aged between six and 18 years took part in the competition at the ECoRSA Stadium on Tuesday.

The children enjoyed the programme, particularly during the interactive session where the quiz master posed queries to the audience and the winner was given a prize. Quiz Master’s bouquet of questions contained those on different subjects, including sports, history, literature, music, science and technology and  geography.

The preliminary test was followed by interactive sessions and the children were randomly selected for answers. During the finals, other students who couldn’t enter finals got a chance to win prizes as the quiz master passed on the questions which remained unanswered by the finalists to the audience.

Parents and staff who were witness to the enthusiastic participation by their wards commended the initiative by ECoRSA. Dr Sakkeer Hussain, sports officer, said that it was a very  interesting and professionally organised programme. The programme was witnessed by sports officials Biswajit Sahoo, Anil Kumar and general secretary MSV Nagesh.
