TDP govt adopting lethargic attitude towards kidney patients, flays Pawan

Srikakulam: The TDP government is adopting lethargic attitude towards kidney patients, alleged Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan. He interacted with kidney patients of Uddanam area at Palasa on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, Pawan said the Central and state governments failed to address the woes of patients till today.

He flayed the State government for its failure to provide safe drinking water, medicines and pension to the patients. He made scathing remarks against the ruling party leaders for not coming to the rescue of thousands of patients who have been suffering from kidney diseases for decades together here.

“Our governments are so lethargic and did not respond properly on the disease till today but a foreign university, Harvard, responded quickly after learning about it,” Pawan pointed out. 

In Sri Lanka, the Prime Minister was monitoring the status of kidney diseases in the country but here situation was totally different, he said. On Wednesday evening, Pawan left for Tekkali Assembly constituency.

In the wake of Pawan tour in the district and his charges against the ruling TDP leaders, Jana Sena cadre asked for increasing security to Pawan. The party submitted a memorandum to the Director General of Police (DGP) at Mangalagiri on Wednesday requesting him to provide tight security to their leader.
