Police to keep vigil on Social Media

Vijayawada: Krishna district Superintendent of Police Sarvasresth Tripati said that the Social Media Cell of the district police department will keep a vigil on the Social Media in the district and the police will take stern action against the users of the media for circulating or forwarding the fake posts, which may create problems in society. 

In a press release here on Thursday, the Superintendent of Police said the use of WhatsApp, FaceBook, Instagram and Telegram became very vibrant and many people are spending 10 to 12 hours a day using the Social Media. He further stated that due to curiosity and other reasons many people are forwarding the message without verifying whether it is genuine or fake unmindful of the consequences.
