Relaunch beneficial to BCs: KE Krishnamurthy

Kurnool: Deputy Chief Minister KE Krishnamurthy called upon the people to make use of the welfare schemes implemented by the State government. He stated that the aim of relaunching Adarana Scheme is to strengthen the economic status of the backward communities.

Krishnamurthy has participated an awareness programme on Adarana Scheme at STBC College grounds here on Wednesday where modern tools were displayed at an exhibition.

Addressing the participants on the occasion of relaunching Adarana Scheme, the Minister said artisans belonging to backward communities would be provided with modern tools and financial support for pursuing their traditional occupations.

Thus, raising their income earning levels and providing employment in the rural areas, he stated. Krishnamurthy said tools for goldsmiths, carpenters, weavers, blacksmiths, and potters will be distributed on subsidy to the eligible. 

Deputy Chief Minister said that the State government is giving top priority to generate employment for all sections of the society. MLC KE Prabhakar said the Adarana Scheme was relaunched for uplift of backward classes.

The scheme would benefit lakhs of BCs, he stated. Rajya Sabha member TG Venkatesh said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is committed for the welfare of the BCs. District Collector S Satyanarayana, Valmiki federation chairman BT Naidu, MLAs SV Mohan Reddy, M Mani Gandhi and others were present.
