Whip distributes cheques under Chandranna Bima

Eluru: Denduluru MLA and Government Whip Chintamaneni Prabhakar said that over the last two months Rs one crore compensation was disbursed among 35 families under Chandranna Bima scheme. These families had lost their family head, he added.

He distributed cheques to the kin of the deceased at a programme held at Duggirala village in Pedavegi mandal on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that under Chandranna Bima, the government would provide an insurance coverage of Rs 5 lakh to the poor families which lost family head in road accidents. 

He said that the government was also applying the scheme to the families of the persons who crossed 50 years. 

The kin of the deceased would get the insured sum even the person dies naturally after 50 years of age.

He said that the government would sanction Rs 1.5 lakh to the homeless poor in rural areas along with house site.

Denduluru Agriculture Marketing Committee chairman Maganti Surendranath Chowdary, ZPTC members Moru Sravani, Pappula Suseela, Sakkubai, Mandal President Moru Hymavathi participated in the programme.
