Atrocities against women a cause for concern: Rajakumari
Ongole: Andhra Pradesh State Women Commission Chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari consoled the victim, who is undergoing treatment at RIMS Hospital in Ongole on Friday, and assured her that she will follow up the case to see that the accused would be awarded severe punishment.
She said that atrocities on women and girls are not less than any form of terrorism in the world. She said that it is a disgrace to humankind that atrocities on girls and children are rampant in the country. She expressed helplessness to the women and girls that they have no protection in society when the father is also trying to sexually abuse the little girls.
She assured that justice would be rendered to the girl and her mother as she would take up a campaign to the village-level to create awareness among the public on atrocities against women, good touch and bad touch and protection mechanism available for the women and girls in distress through posters, hoardings and interactions.
