Encroachments to be removed at Autonagar
Vijayawada: District Collector B Lakshmikantham warned that criminal cases would be registered against encroachers at Auto Nagar.
He assured the industrialists that all encroachments would be removed.
Lakshmikantham on Saturday held discussions with the representatives of the Auto Nagar Industrial Local Authority (AILA), New Autonagar, Kanur and Kondapalli Autonagar at the camp office.
AILA Chairman Sunkara Durga Prasad, Secretary Anne Siva Nageswara Rao and others explained to the Collector about the encroachments in the industrial estate and Autonagar.
Responding to it, the Collector said encroachments would be removed and criminal cases would be booked against encroachers at Autonagar.
The representatives of various associations asked the Collector to provide basic infrastructure like roads, drinking water pipelines at Autonagar.
Responding to it, the Collector said he would speak to the VMC.
Later, Lakshmikantham narrated the digital class project being implemented in the district and sought the financial support of the entrepreneurs.
He said the district administration has decided to provide digital classes in 440 schools and successfully completed the work in 200 schools.
He said Rs 3 crore is needed to provide digital classes in the remaining 240 schools.
He informed that the district administration would arrange Rs 75 lakh fund and NRIs would donate Rs 75 lakh and the remaining would be collected from the donors.
He sought the cooperation of industrialists to complete the project.
