Master plan ready for Vontimitta temple development: TTD EO

Kadapa: TTD chairman Putta Sudhakar Yadav said that following the directions of the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, a master plan has been prepared for the development of Kodandarama Swamy temple, Kalyana Vedika and Ramayanam Project at Vontimitta.

Speaking after inaugurating pilgrims’ amenities complex at a cost at Rs 4.6 crore on Friday, he said that the aim of the Chief Minister is to develop Vontimitta on par with Bhadrachalam in Telangana State.

In the newly constructed complex, there is a dining hall with a facility for 600 pilgrims to have lunch. District Collector C Harikiran said the administration was taking steps for the speedy development of Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple.  Vontimtta already had train and road transport facility, he pointed out.

He appealed to the TTD chairman to initiate steps for increase in supply of Anna Prasadam like Tirumala in the interest of pilgrims visiting this temple from distance places across the State. 

TTD JEO Kola Bhaskar said that master plan will be implemented after taking suggestions from the local leaders, public and officials.  He said there was no objection to bringing small changes in the construction of Kalyana Vedika if devotees suggested any. Rajampet MLA and government whip M Mallikarjuna Reddy, TTD CE Chandra Sekhar Reddy and others were present.
