Medical transport services in Tirupati

Tirupati: Stanplus, the Hyderabad based largest medical transport service company, has come with the plans to provide ambulance services for the needy in emergencies through call centre service in Tirupati. District Collector PS Pradyumna has directed the government hospital superintendents to provide space for them to establish their stalls in the hospital premises. 

Speaking to the superintendents in Tirupati on Friday, the Collector said that Stanplus has been successfully extending its services in Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Eluru. He also asked the representatives of Stanplus to start medical services transport from Chittoor government hospital soon. In providing medical transport private ambulance services, operators should have service motive and collect reasonable charges from patients or their attendants, he stated. Such private operators should be given priority in government hospitals, he added.

The company services can be availed through call centre number 040-33911911 which can be enrolled through online and they will extend services in case of accidents, taking patients from one hospital to other referral hospitals or taking the bodies of dead patients to their home, said the representative of the company Narendra. For any service, patients can know the charges before booking the same. 

Meanwhile, Pradyumna has sanctioned Rs 12 crore from Collector’s funds to the Government Maternity Hospital for providing oxygen facility as requested by the Superintendent Dr V Bhavani. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vijay Rama Raju, Ruia Hospital Superintendent Dr B Sidda Naik, TTD RMOs Dr Koti Reddy, Dr Govinda Narayana and others took part in the meeting.
