Astrologer dies in fatal accident

Addanki: A man was killed and two others were injured in a fatal accident in which the car they were travelling plunged into a canal and overturned at Kommalapadu in Santamaguluru mandal in Prakasam district on Saturday.

According to Addanki CI M Hymarao, Devulapalli Parvata Sastry (59) and his wife Janaki of Mathampalli village in Suryapet district of Telangana were travelling to Tirupati by hiring a driver in a Swift Desire car. 

In the early morning, the car took U-turn suddenly at Kommalapadu Nagarjuna Sagar major canal and a speeding Bolero car which was coming opposite direction hit the Desire. 

With the impact, the Swift Desire jumped into the air and fell into the canal. Parvata Sastry, a famous astrologer in Telangana state, died on the spot but his wife Janaki and driver escaped with injuries. 

The police shifted the injured to a private hospital and took up investigation.
