Case against elderly man for molesting minor girl

 Nellore: Podalakur police booked case against an elderly man under POCSO Act for allegedly sexually assault on a minor girl in the mandal headquarters. 

The incident came to light when doctors observed her health condition and also based on revelation of the girl. 

According to police, an elderly man, Krishnaiah, from Vighneswarapuram in the town started harassing the minor, who was his distant relative. 

When the girl was facing health problems, her parents contacted a lady doctor for treatment. She informed that the girl was having infections in her private parts and suggested them to check with the girl for any possible sexual assault. 

Girl told her parents that Krishnaiah was misbehaving with her when she was alone. 

They lodged a complaint with the police on Friday night. 

The police booked a case against the accused on Saturday and sent the girl to government hospital for medical examination.
