No presence of NTR family members 

Vijayawada: The family members of N T Rama Rao were conspicuous by their absence on the first day of the Telugu Desam Party’s Mahanadu here on Sunday.  Film hero and MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna did not take part in the proceedings of Mahanadu on the first day.

He is representing Hindupur constituency in Anantapur district. While other leaders from the district, took part. Moreover, the youth took part in Mahanadu event on a large scale and participated in voluntary duties and service organisations set up in the names of Chandrababu Naidu, Nara Lokesh, and Devineni Nehru, Avinash and some other leaders. 

Though Balakrishna has huge fan following they did not play any active role. On the other hand, Nandamuri Hari Krishna was also not present on the first day of Mahanadu. Though TDP founder and former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao’s native district Krishna was hosting Mahanadu, Hari Krishna failed to attend. 

Hari Krishna prefers to attend Mahanadu at least one day in the three day event for the last several years.  Similarly, a few representatives of Telangana TDP were present at Mahanadu. Some important leaders were absent. The TDP leaders said that all the leaders including Balakrishna and Harikrishna would participate in the next two days.

However, the Telangana TDP was given first priority to speak from Mahanadu venue. The meeting first paid tributes to the departed leaders of Telangana State and later to those who represented Andhra Pradesh.
