The victim’s parents Sangati Parvathi Devi and her husband Sugali Raju Naik addressed the media at District Public Relations Office here on Saturday.

On the occasion, Sangati Parvati Devi said that her daughter, S Preeti Bai was a student of Cattamanchi Ramalingareddy Memorial Residential Private School and was pursuing tenth standard.

She was gangraped by a man and his two sons - Vallepureddy Janardhan Reddy, Vallepureddy Diwakar Reddy and Vallepureddy Harshavardhan Reddy.

They killed her after committing the heinous act on August 19, 2017. Even after completion of 10 months, the police are not showing interest to file charge sheet against the culprits, she alleged. When we question the police about the delay in filing charge sheet, the investigating officer, KS Vinod Kumar, has been threatening us with dire consequences, she complained.

Parvathi Devi further said that the DSP is saying that they are taking second opinion from the experts to file charge sheet as the post mortem report alone is not sufficient.

It is nothing but to weaken the case, she said.

She alleged that the District Education Officer is also playing a role to protect the accused. Parvathi Devi accused of DEO taking bribe to stay calm when the Cattamanchi Ramalingareddy School was taken over by management of Sri Chaitanya School.

She said that an internal inquiry against the DEO is underway probing her bank accounts wherein an amount of Rs 15 lakh were deposited.

She demanded the government to handover her daughter’s case to CBI besides taking stringent action on the negligent officers.
