Brahmana Samiti resents Agriculture Minister’s remarks

Chittoor: Sankara Brahmana Seva Samithi president Surya Prakash in city says that Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy levelled wild comments against Brahmins at the behest of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. 

Addressing  the General Body Meeting of  Chittoor Sankara Brahmana  Seva Samithi  held  here  at Greamspet on Sunday, he regretted  that Chandramohan Reddy made irrelevant and  irresponsible statement against the Brahmins targeting  Tirumala former chief priest Ramana Deekshitulu .

He felt that it was not fair on the part of the Agriculture Minister to speak foul language against  Ramana Deekshutulu. He said that Brahmins  should wear  black badges on Monday  and attend their respective duties in the district.

State Brahmin Association Joint Secretary Ramana alleged that TDP Government was totally neglecting the Brahmin community in all respects. He charged  that no purpose was  served by AP Brahmin Welfare Corporation which failed to protect  the interests of the Brahmins.  

He demanded  the TTD  to construct  Brahmin Kalyana Mandapams   in all the districts of the state. He stressed that government  should allocate at  least Rs.100 cr. for Brahmin Welfare Corporation. `` Above  70 percent of  Brahmin community people are living in deplorable condition.

The Government  should issue the white ration cards  to them as most of them are in below  poverty line” he said. Murthy, Suresh, Venu Madhava and others spoke.
