Jain seer participates in Ahimsa Rally

Vijayawada: People of all ages participated in the Ahimsa Rally along with Jains Terapanth 11th Seer Acharya Sri Mahasraman starting from Gurunanak Colony here on Monday.

The rally was flagged off by City Police Commissioner Gautam Sawang. The rally reached PB Siddhartha Arts and Science College auditorium. 

About 2,000 devotees and others participated in the rally.

Addressing the gathering, the seer Mahasraman said that preaching Ahimsa for the present generation was very important. He said Ahimsa is the only way for happy nation and Harmony, Morality and De-addiction are part of this.

The seer explained that the Ahimsa rally started from Red Fort in New Delhi in the year 2014 and from there moving towards different states on foot reaching Vijayawada on Monday. 

Thousands of devotees attended from all parts of the country. 

He said that he had been travelling on foot to create awareness on Ahimsa. 

He informed that he had traveled three countries, 19 states and had covered 16,000 kilometers till now.
