Seshachala Vanadarsini museum inaugurated

Tirupati: Principle Conservator of Forests Mallikarjuna Rao inaugurated a museum `Seshachal Vanadarsini’ at 7th mile point on the foot path to Tirumala on Sunday.

The museum was set up to throw light on the  rich biodiversity of Seshachalam forests, Tirumala heritage, its holy places like Theerthams (water falls in Tirumala forests) and other aspects by the Forest department with the support from the city based Mosaic Adventure Commune (MAC).

The forest bungalow, which was not in use, was renovated to house the museum. MAC founders BC Ramana and B Balu were instrumental for setting up the museum. Forest officials and MAC personnel were present at the inaugural programme. The museum will be convenient to the pilgrims coming down from Tirumala.
