Bhimavaram: The Praja Sankalpa Yatra of YSRCP president and Opposition leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy reached 174th day on Monday.  Jagan began his Padayatra from Vissakoderu in Palakoderu mandal on Monday morning and covered Goraganamudi, Pennada, Sringavriksham, Nandamuru Garuvu and Veeravasaram village.

Before Jagan embarked on his Yatra on Monday, the affected families of Godavari Mega Aqua Food Park at Tundurru met him. The villagers alleged that the police were harassing them as they were agitating against the food park and filed cases against them including women members of their families. Later, they expressed solidarity with Jagan’s Padayatra.

At Pennada village, Brahmin Association representatives met Jagan and submitted a list of grievances to him.  The association leaders alleged that Chandrababu Naidu was creating disputes between different castes in the State and did not even spare the Brahmins.

They requested him to provide financial assistance to the Brahmins who were facing problems.  At Sringavriksham, Jagan met fishermen and members of fishermen associations affiliated to the YSRCP.

They welcomed the statement of Jagan that Rs 10,000 would be given to the fishermen families during the non-fishing days. Jagan later reached Nandamuru Garuvu and went to Veeravasaram. He halted for the night at Matsyapuri.
