Light to moderate rain likely in State

Hyderabad: Thunderstorms with gusty winds occurred at isolated places in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari districts of north coastal Andhra. Rain occurred at isolated places in coastal Andhra, while dry weather prevailed in Rayalaseema. There was 1 cm rain in Araku Valley in Vishakhapatnam district.

The forecast said light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at isolated places in the coastal AP and Rayalaseema regions from May 30 to June 2. No large change during the period June 3-5 is the weather outlook.

The highest day temperature of 41 degrees Celsius was recorded in Kadapa, Kurnool and Nandyal. The other temperatures in the State were: Anantapur, Tirupati, Nandigama & Jangamaheswarapuram 40 each, Nellore 39, Vijayawada & Kavali 38 each, Kakinada, Machilipatnam, Ongole, Visakhapatnam Airport &  Arogyavaram 37 each, Tuni 36, Bapatla,  Narsapur & Visakhapatnam 35 each and Kalingapatnam 34.
