NTR, a great visionary LEADER
Tirupati: The birth anniversary celebrations of former Chief Minister NT Rama Rao were held in a befitting manner at SVIMS and Sri Padmavathi Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV) in temple city. Rich tributes were paid to the founder of these two institutes.
Speaking on the occasion after garlanding the NTR statue, Director cum Vice-Chancellor of SVIMS Dr TS Ravikumar has described the institute as the brainchild of the great visionary which has been providing super speciality medical services to the people of Rayalaseema.
The institute has been growing faster with the help of TTD and state government and extending modern health facilities to patients. SVIMS has become number one institute in providing medical services under prestigious NTR Vaidya Seva scheme in the State, the Director said.
He also inaugurated the ‘Anna danam’ programme organised by SVIMS employees for patients and their attendants. Dr PVLN Srinivasa Rao, Dr TC Kalavath, Dr Alok Sachan, Dr Adikrishna and others took part.
At SPMVV, the Vice-Chancellor Prof V Durga Bhavani garlanded the statue of NT Rama Rao and lauded the vision of the great leader which made the establishment of state’s first women university. Registrar Prof DM Mamatha, Prof T Tripura Sundari, Prof S Jyothi, Prof Ramakrishna Rao and others were present.
