Nayee Brahmin meet hails govt schemes

Vijayawada: Nayee Brahmin Cooperative Societies Federation president G Nageswara Rao has said the state government has been extending various schemes for the uplift of Nayee Brahmin community.

He participated in Nayee Brahmin Cooperative Societies Federation state-level conference organised here on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that to create awareness on various government schemes two members of the Nayee Brahmin Society from 175 constituencies from across the state were invited to the programme.

He said that the government was giving 75 units free electricity to saloons and allocating 10 percent of shops in all municipalities.

BC welfare department vice-chairman and MD G Rama Rao informed that the workshop would create awareness on schemes by the government to Nayee Brahmin community. 

He said that the government was spending crores of rupees for the development of the community. 

A total 13,000 women across the state would be given training for three months in tailoring. After completion of the training, they would be given a sewing machine.  

Every district would be allotted a BC study circle, he added.
