SC/ST Act protection panel meet on June 10

 Kakinada:  The SC/ST Act Protection Committee will meet at Warangal on June 10 as part of ‘Simha Garjana’ Programme. 

Speaking to media persons at ZP Guest House here on Monday, the chief coordinator of the committee, JB Raju said that in order to pay homage to 11 people who lost their lives on April 2, the day on which the Bharat Bandh was organised, the meet of all southern states would be organised at Warangal under the leadership of Manda Krishna, chairman of SC, ST Act Protection Committee.

The chief coordinator said that their main demand was to maintain status quo on the Act and to include the same in Schedule 9 of Indian Constitution to continue protection of these sections.
