Why Jagan, Gali assets not seized?

Vijayawada: TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday said there was no truth in the argument of the BJP and Jana Sena that the TDP benefitted by their support during 2014 elections.

Speaking on the political resolution adopted by the party on the concluding day of Mahanadu here on Tuesday, Naidu pointed out that the TDP had won the local body elections with comfortable majority before the last general elections.

He alleged that Pawan Kalyan was targeting the TDP as it had severed ties with the BJP-led NDA. The Chief Minister said the film star-turned-politician was reading out the script prepared by the BJP leaders. He warned the NDA leaders that the TDP rank and file will not allow their collusive politics.

Lambasting YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy for making derogatory comments against him, Naidu said there was no comparison between him and the leader of opposition. He pointed out that though there was a right for the state to run the administration in Hyderabad for 10 years, he had shifted the governance to Amaravati to speed up the process of development.

Naidu wondered why the Centre had failed to attach illegal assets of YSRCP chief Jaganmohan Reddy and BJP leader Gali Janardan Reddy. He pointed out that the officer who conducted probe into Jagan’s assets case was in the state and interacting with public. The Centre could secure information from him on the money to be seized from the YSRCP president, Naidu suggested.

He asked the NDA government as to why it was applying different standards for different persons. The Chief Minister reiterated that the AgriGold assets will be confiscated and distributed to the victims.

Strongly opposing the Centre’s attempt to take over the Tirumala temple as a protected monument through the Archaeological Survey of India, Naidu said Lord Venkateswara would punish them severely if they failed to withdraw the proposal.
