Vehicle to create awareness on garbage launched in Guntur

Guntur: Municipal Corporation (GMC) Commissioner Srikesh B Lathkar, inaugurated the vehicle arranged by ITC, to create awareness on the need to segregate dry and wet garbage at a programme held here on Tuesday.

Speaking on this occasion, he said that ITC Company had adopted 23rd and 24th divisions in the city to create awareness on need to segregate dry and wet garbage. 

The vehicle would tour in the two divisions and create awareness among the people.

He further said that the GMC would also set up Kalajatas and create awareness to the residents of the 23nd and 24th divisions. 

After completion of this programme in the two divisions, they would create awareness in two more divisions. 

If awareness created, the people would give garbage to the garbage collection boys and not dump in the side drains. 

GMC Deputy Commissioner D Srinivasa Rao, ITC representative Gauri Naidu were among those participated.
