Applications invited for Swachh Bharat Summer Internship

Visakhapatnam: The Central government launched Swachh Bharat Summer Internship, a new programme under Swachh Bharat. The Centre is inviting applications from both male and female aged between 18 and 29. The youth must work at least 100 hours at their respective villages to take up the Swachh Bharat activities.

This internship is jointly taken up by the Ministries of Youth Affairs, Rural Development and Sanitation. The internship will be supervised and organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra at district-level.

As an individual or a group collective can work in the village under the Swachh Bharat Summer Internship. As an individual one must complete 100 hours and as a member of a group one should complete 20 hours. Interested youth can register their names online and last date for applying is June 15, 2018.

“All the participants will be given appreciation certificates and cash incentives will also presented to the selected persons who have done excellent work. The volunteers have to upload their activities on website which can be reviewed at the district-level”,  said District Youth Coordinator of Nehru Yuva Kendra G Chandana. The candidates should pass Class X. Interested candidates can apply as National Youth Volunteers. Applications can be uploaded on  to www.nyks.org and sbsi.mygov.in
