Vizianagaram: Alleging that tribal areas in the state were completely ignored by the TDP government, Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan said the state government was working for the high class society but not for the common man.

Pawan Kalyan participated in road show and addressed people at Kurupam, Parvathipuram and Bobbili in the district on Thursday. Stating that he came to know the socio, economic conditions in the remote tribal areas , he said after visiting these areas he realised that these innocent tribals were deliberately ignored by the governments.

Expressing his despair over the lack of infrastructure like roads and bridges  in the tribal areas, he said only families of the politicians are getting benefits but not the poor and predicted another “Kalinga war”  which, he said, would sweep off the governments and selfish leaders.

On the Special Category Status (SCS) issue, the Jana Sena chief said the state would have achieved the status if Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had fought along with Jana Sena against the Centre with commitment. “But Naidu has been betraying the public.

He is spending huge money to publicize himself and is organizing Nava Nirmaana Deekshas. Just because of Jana Sena the issue of kidney ailments in Uddanam area came to light. Naidu is concentrating only on Amaravati at the expense of the rest of Andhra Pradesh.

The people of Balijipeta mandal are suffering from filaria but the government is not taking care of the affected people,” he said wandering from one topic to another.

He said Jana Sena cadre would work on behalf of poorest of the poor and extend their hands to help the common man and added that he did not contest 2014 polls due to lack of experience. Attacking the Chief Minister, he said,  “Naidu had repeatedly said Prime Minister Narendra Modi banned big notes on his advice.

If he was so close to the PM, why could not he achieve SCS? The government is spending huge amounts on unnecessary purposes but is unable to complete irrigation projects. Roads in this area are in very pathetic conditions but no leader is bothered about them. I will work to establish a film studio in north Andhra.”

Accusing the TDP government of plotting to loot the huge properties of AgriGold, he declared that Jana Sena would not allow it. He said if he comes to power, he would act as protector of interests of the common . “I will not stay in five-star hotels like Naidu. I will work for common man. I had refunded the money to the producers and distributors if the film was a flip. Believe me and bless me with votes,” he appealed to voters.
