Impart skills to make youth employed, officials told

Guntur: District Collector Kona Sasidhar directed the Skill Development Corporation to implement the programmes which will provide employment to the unemployed youth in the district.

He addressed a meeting with officials of the AP Skill Development Corporation, MEPMA and DRDA in Guntur on Thursday.

Speaking on this occasion, he directed the officials to identify unemployed with minimum SSC qualification and to impart training in the skill development to provide employment to the youth from village-level.

He directed them to conduct job melas in case of need and impart training to develop their skills. He asked them to prepare a detailed programme to impart training to the unemployed youth to get jobs. 

He informed that during last year, they had given training to 8,500 youth through MEPMA, BC Corporation, DRDA and SC Corporation.

He stressed on the need to give training to more unemployed youth. 

DRDA, SC Corporation, BC Corporation officials were present.
