Man kills 9-month old son, hangs self

Kurnool: In a bizarre incident, a man killed his nine-month-old son and later committed suicide by hanging to a tree. The incident took place at Anumpalli village in Dhone mandal on Friday. 

According to information, Golla Naresh and Golla Lakshmi Devi are wife and husband and are residents of Anumpalli village. The couple got married a year ago they got a boy, Golla Ganesh, who is nine-month- old now. Naresh and Lakshmi Devi were daily wage labourers. 

For the past some days, Naresh began to suspect the character of his wife. The suspicion led Naresh to kill his son. He administered pesticide to his son and throttled him to death while no one was around in the house on Friday morning and fled the scene.

Lakshmi Devi on her return noticed froth coming out of Ganesh mouth. She immediately rushed to a local doctor who declared that the child was brought dead. 

Lakshmi Devi, suspecting husband’s hand behind the killing, lodged a complaint with the Dhone police. The police registered a case and took up investigation. 

Naresh after learning that the police is behind him, hanged himself to a tree on the outskirts of the village. The police found Naresh hanging from a tree and later sent the two bodies for autopsy at Dhone hospital.
