World No Tobacco Day rally taken out in Guntur 

Guntur: Andhra Pradesh Police Officers’ Association General Secretary D Subrahmanyam on Thursday flagged off the World No Tobacco Day rally organised under the joint aegis of Sibar Institute of Dental Sciences, Indian Dental Association of the coastal region and Guntur rural police.

By 2020, tobacco likely to account for 13 per cent of the deaths, said quoting various survey reports, Dr Ramana Reddy, principal of the Dental Science College.

Sibar Dental College students, staff, Guntur Rural SP staff took out a rally from Hindu College circle to SP office in the city sensiting the people about ill-effects of tobacco. SVD Prasad, Guntur, AR Additional SP, addressed the rallyists. Sibar College dean Dr L Krishna Prasad and others took part in the rally.
