48,481 ration cards distributed

Amaravati: The State government distributed 48,481 new ration cards on the second day of Nava Nirmana Deeksha in 13 districts. As part of Nava Nirmana Deeksha programme, the State government is conducting Gramadarsini programme in 9,876 villages in 13 districts to discuss various issues.  On the second day, discussions were held on the subject ‘Water security and drought proof state’.

During the Gramadarsini programme, 48,481 new ration cards have been issued and 3,86,539 people were given old-age pensions. Similarly, 36,572 new houses were sanctioned and foundation stones laid for 3,810 constructions. Officials explained to people on the ongoing irrigation projects, farm ponds, water security, rural water supply and some other issues.
