Congress takes out ‘Praja Chaitanya Yatra’

Visakhapatnam: Protesting the anti-people policies of both BJP and TDP governments, the City Congress Committee conducted Praja Chaitanya Yatra countering the ‘Navanirmana Deeksha’ here on Saturday. 

The yatra was started at Durgalamma temple near Poorna Market and culminated at Saraswathi Park. 

A large number of Congress activists took part in the rally and raised slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Addressing the activists, General Secretary of Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao alleged that both Narendra Modi and N Chandrababu Naidu cheated the people of Andhra Pradesh. 

Narendra Modi assured to accord Special Category Status in 2014 elections but after coming to power, he is showing step-motherly treatment towards Andhra Pradesh.

City Congress Committee president B Bhaskara Rao, Mantri Rajasekhar, General Secretary K Gopala Reddy and Pedada Ramani Kumari also addressed the gathering.
