Lightning kills one in Hiramandal

Srikakulam: One person died, two others sustained injuries and 40 sheep died when lightning struck in two mandals in the district on Saturday. 

According to details, Gangi Raju (30) died when lightning struck him at Bhagiradhapuram in Hiramandal  when he was grazing cattle in the fields. 

In another incident at Voni village in Palakonda mandal, 40 sheep died and two grazers sustained injuries when lightning struck them. 

They were shifted to Palakonda government area hospital where their condition is said to be stable.
