Ramesh, Krishna Elected to BITOA Executive Council

Chirala: The badminton national umpires Dr Konidela Ramesh from Chirala and Tirumalasetty Krishna Prasad from Swarna in Prakasam district have been inducted into the executive council of the Badminton India Technical Officials Association (BITOA), at its general body meeting held in Pune on Sunday.

The Prakasam District Badminton Association announced that Ramesh and Krishna Prasad were acting as umpires in the national and international matches for the last 20 years. 

The association said that Ramesh is working as an assistant professor in Government Junior College at Uppugundur while Krishna Prasad is a teacher in the district.

The vice-president of the Badminton Association of India, K Ch Punnaiah Chowdary, general secretary of the Andhra Pradesh Badminton Association Cherukuri Raghu Kiran, the Prakasam District Badminton Association secretary Ch Nageswara Rao and other badminton association officials congratulated the umpires for getting elected to the executive council of BITOA.
