Students of West Berry Excel in Sports

Bhimavaram: West Berry High School students won medals in the Fifth South Asian Jump-Rope Championship held at Kathmandu in Nepal during May 28 to 31, according to principal of the school G Suneetha.

As many as 247 Players from India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh participated in the championship. Indian team with 11 students from West Berry High School participated and won 14 gold medals, school director Mahesh Kumar stated.

In Double Dutch single freestyle category, students N Varsha Mythili, P Tejaswi and P Sridevi won the medals, he added.  

In pair wheel free-style category P Varsha Mythili, P Tejaswi bagged the medals. 

In Single freestyle category, P Tejaswi won the medal. In Single Rope Team Free Style Category, K Niyati, P Lakshmi Soujanya, P Yogita, K Rishita, in Double Dutch speed relay category K Niyati, P Lakshmi Soujanya, P Yogita, in single Freestyle Category K Rishita won the medals. 

The school director and principal congratulated the students for their achievement in the championship.
