Chandrababu Naidu has no moral right to take pledge in Deeksha: Jagan
Eluru: YSRCP president and Opposition leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy criticised Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for bringing children and officials on to the roads in the name of Nava Nirmana Deeksha in the districts.
Addressing a public meeting at Penugonda village on Sunday, Jagan came down heavily on Naidu for taking pledge from children and employees for the all-round development of the state in the Nava Nirmana Deeksha and said he has a dubious distinction of betraying people and backstabbing his supporters.
Stating that Naidu is a 420 and had purchased 23 MLAs like cattle in a weekly fair, he said Naidu has no moral right to take pledge from people in the Deeksha.
He said the YSRCP MPs resigned for the cause of Special Category Status to the state and alleged the TDP supremo by joining hands with the BJP, could not be accepting the resignations of the MPs.
Jagan alleged the TDP leaders were making a hole in the heart of river Godavari for sand with machines and the MLAs were paying the amounts to Pedababu and Chinababu. The TDP leaders have robbed Rs 300 crores sand from Sidhantham and Koderu areas.
Over the last four years, the digging up of sand unabatedly going on and questioned the Collector K Bhaskar as to what steps he has taken to stop digging. He questioned the MLA, who failed to construct a bridge across river Vasistha to Ayodhya Lanka.
He expressed concern over the water contamination in West Godavari and stated that from every public tap to household tap, the drinking water was fully contaminated, and the people are using the sugarcane coloured water for drinking. He asked Panchayat Raj Minister Nara Lokesh to visit the panchayats in the district and drink the water to know the problems of people.
The YSRCP president said Naidu had announced that he will develop the state to national level in 2022, 2029 and 2050 and make it as number one in the world. “He is now almost 70 years old.
He wants to live up to 2050 to rob the state. However, there is no tolerance among Andhra people to bear the Naidu over years,” he criticised. He said in liquor sale and consumption, Andhra Pradesh stood in first place and added Naidu was number one in robbing the temple lands.
