Mana Vooru- Mana Badi Programme Begins
Vijayawada: Krishna District Collector B Lakshmikantham has announced that ‘Mana Vooru- Mana Badi’ programme commenced from Monday and will continue till June 11.
He informed this here at a programme on Monday.
The Collector said that the main aim of the programme was to join as many students as possible with children above five years into government schools across the district to increase the strength of the schools.
He appealed to all the teachers to show special interest in making this programme successful.
He said that under this programme, extensive campaign should be done about the quality of education in government schools and infrastructural facilities to encourage parents to admit their children in the government schools.
He requested the teachers to explain the benefits of studying in the government schools, quality of education and the results obtained at government schools to the parents through this programme.
He said that the government teachers were well qualified, experienced and capable and render their services with dedication.
Free uniform, books, mid-day meals would be provided besides lab facilities, digital classrooms and virtual classrooms at government schools, he said.
Sports, physical exercise, Yoga, martial arts, vocational courses and other activities would be provided at these schools for the total growth of the student and the same should be conveyed to the parents of the students, said the Collector.
He informed that on June 5, Anganwadi children would be joined in the schools.
On June 6, students passed Class V would be joined in high schools. Whereas on June 7, programmes related to admission of students who had completed Class 7 to 9 would be organised.
On June 8, students studying in private schools would be given admission in government schools.
On June 9, children outside the school and on June 10 slum area children would be admitted in government schools, he added.
