Manginapudi Beach Festival from June 9

Vijayawada: District Collector B Lakshmikantham on Monday informed that Mysolia Beach Festival would be organised at Manginapudi Beach in Machilipatnam from June 9 to 11.

Speaking at a programme at Collector’s camp office here, he said that after completing the week-long Nava Nirmana Deeksha on June 8, the three-day Manginapudi beach festival would begin on June 9. 

He said on June 7, a 2K Walk would be organised as a curtain raiser of the programme. 

On June 8, the beach festival would be inaugurated at Manginapudi Beach and balloons would be released on the occasion, he said.

He informed that there were many special attractions at the beach festival including Heli ride, paragliding, parasailing, ATV ride, Trampling, Joy ride on sag way, paintball and archery, barbing ball, bounces and slides, sand art, cultural activities, horse ride and camel ride.

The Collector said Nuzvid mango exhibition with 18 varieties of mangoes would be on display. Apart from this, the beach festival incorporates food courts. 

A 100 feet Dosa would be attempted for a Guinness Book record, he revealed.

He said Sports and Youth Minister Kollu Ravindra, MP Konakalla Narayana, sportsperson PV Sindhu and other officials would grace the occasion on the inaugural day of the beach festival, he added.
