TDP-YSRCP clashes create tension in village
Kadapa: Tension prevailed at Pedda Danduru village of Jammalamadugu mandal with the TDP activists reportedly tried to restrict the entry of Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy, Kadapa Mayor Suresh Babu and other YSR Congress leaders in to the village. A house, a car and some furniture were damaged when the TDP activists allegedly ransacked them.
According to sources, the marriage of an APSP constable Gokula Sampath was performed in the village. He invited MP Avinash Reddy, Dr Sudheer Reddy and Kadapa mayor to the marriage. They could not attend the marriage on the scheduled date. YS Avinash Reddy and Suresh Babu wanted to come to Pedda Dandluru to congratulate the newly married couple. YSR Congress functionaries arranged small function in the village.
Meanwhile the TDP activists, reportedly followers of Marketing Minister C Adi Narayana Reddy, restricted the MP Avinash Reddy and his men when they tried to enter the village around 3.45 p.m. on Sunday. The two groups indulged in heated arguments. Police resorted to lathi-charge to disperse the crowds. The YSRC leaders had heated arguments with the police. TDP activists abducted one YSRC functionary Subba Rami Reddy, it is alleged. Both the groups attacked on each other.
Police arrested MP and Kadapa Mayor when they launched protest on the road alleging that it was all happened with the knowledge of police. They shifted the two leaders Mydukuru police station. Meanwhile it is leant that police restricted TDP MLC Rama Subba Reddy at Jammalamadugu when he tried to leave for Pedda Dandluru village. Police security was made at the village to avoid further violence. Police said presently the situation is under control.
