“The Chief Minister should explain what transpired in between to make him to take a U turn,” he demanded. Referring to the special package offered to the State, the MP said that the Centre was ready to provide special package and only asked to form a special purpose vehicle to release funds. “Even for Dholera industrial city, a special purpose vehicle was formed,” he recalled.

Instead of forming a special purpose vehicle, Chandrababu has chosen to walk out of the alliance probably due to his political ambitions, the MP said. When pointed out that currency problem is prevalent all over country, he said that the problem was more in the two States than the rest of the country.

BJP state unit president Kanna Lakshminarayana recalled that he had been watching Chandrababu for the last 30 years and he had never been consistent with his words or deeds.

In connection with the construction of Polavaram Project, Kanna said that a far junior officer has been elevated to the Chief Engineer’s post to look after the activities of the project. “How could Chandrababu justify this,” he wondered. Kanna asserted that Polavaram would be constructed by the Centre at any cost for the people of the Andhra Pradesh.
