Nakshatra Vanam drawing nature lovers in droves

Visakhapatnam: Nakshatra Vanam (Star Park) has become a tourist place located at Mandal Parishad Office, Bheemili, after the cent per cent success in growing 27 plants related to 27 birth stars of Mythology. There are various plants planted according to different themes including planets, constellations, a sign of zodiac and Panchavati in the Nakshatra Vanam.

To educate and create awareness on 27 medicinal valued plants and related to 27 stars, the Divis Laboratories Limited procured all the saplings and planted in an extent of 1.5 acres land in the premises of MPP office. Now all the plants survived and growing healthy. The management also arranged the history of plant and related star of all the 27 constellations helping to understand their importance in entire life span.

The entire park was divided into two categories-- Budda Darsanam and Nakshatra Vanam. The elected representatives across Bheemili mandal have extended financial assistance for Budda Darsanam project while Divi’s Laboratories Ltd has contributed Rs 2.35 lakh for the development of Nakshatra Vanam. Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivasa Rao inaugurated the park about two years ago and now all the plants are growing healthy.

The vanam is helping the community to create awareness on the importance of plantation. People can able to see the rare plants among 27 Nakshatra Vanam under the one roof, said Officer CSR wing of Divis Labs Srinagaraju.

"In our society all the ceremonies beginning from birth to death are celebrated after consulting religious almanac. According to manuscripts, every person should plant one sapling as per his/her birthstar. It is also true that the ancestors might think about environmental challenges and suggested us to plant saplings. It is already seen that there is a great impact of planets at the time of birth in the horoscope and constellations at the time of ceremony in our routine life. 

In astrology it is clarified that the person can be free from depression, sickness, physical, socio-economic, mental and supernatural troubles by planting a sapling related to his/her birth star. The 27 plants related to 27 stars having high medicinal values and free the pollution levels in the areas," said noted astrologer A Satyanarayana Sarma.
