Merit Scholarships Distributed
Guntur: Assembly Speaker Dr Kodela Siva Prasada Rao stressed on significance of education in the life.
He distributed merit scholarships to the students, who secured 10\\10 GPA in the SSC public examinations held in March this year, at a programme organised at Revenue Kalyalana Mandapam here on Tuesday.
Speaking on this occasion, he suggested the students to do hard work to come up in the life.
He said that it was the responsibility of the teachers to bring out innate talent in the students and added that there was need to conduct symposia on the present situation in society.
He reminded that steps taken by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to provide quality education to the students and urged the students to avail the facilities provided by the government.
He said that there was need to convert population into human resources and added that it was possible with education.
Minister for Civil Supplies Prattipati Pulla Rao said that the state government was spending Rs 25,000 crore for education, besides setting up virtual and digital classrooms to impart quality education to the students.
He said the AP was in first place in education in the country. He urged the students to avail facilities provided by the government.
MLC AS Rama Krishna urged the students to do hard work to achieve their goals.
He said those who got merit marks in the SSC would have a bright future and added that was the responsibility of the students to get name and fame to the state and country.
ZP Chairperson Janimun said that the ZP had spent Rs 35 lakh to give study material to the SSC students, besides providing snacks to them.
He urged the students to avail the facilities provided by the government and come up in life.
Later, Pulla Rao and District Collector Kona Sasidhar distributed merit certificates and mementos to the students who got good marks in SSC and EAMCET.
