Teppotsavam of Chengalamma organised

Nellore: Devotional fervour marked during Teppotsavam of Sullurpet Chengalamma on Monday midnight which took place in Kalangi River. Devotees from various parts of the country witnessed the event which is normally highlight during Brahmotsavam.

Goddess was exquisitely decorated with flowers and attire and shifted to the vessel in the river for carrying on a boat as part of Utsavam. Devotees throng both sides of the river for witnessing the rare occasion of the temple comes for every seven years.

Temple Chairman M Venkateswarlu Reddy, legislator K Sanjeevaiah, former Minister P Ratnam, Temple Executive Officer A Srinivasa Reddy and others participated in the event.
