Two women of Pardhi gang arrested
Kadapa: The Rajampet cops arrested two women allegedly belonging to Pardhi gang and recovered 123 grams of gold ornaments from them on Tuesday. The accused were identified as U Roopa (30) and U Saraswathi (25) and both were residents of Lalaguda in Secunderabad city.
Speaking to the media, Rajampet DSP Lakshminarayana said that women would enter the houses in the name of collecting hair from the women. The accused would attack the inmates with sharp weapons and rob the gold ornaments from them.
The duo would select the houses were women are alone. The accused had robbed the houses of V Srinivasulu in Komili Street and S Lakshmi Devi at Tummala Agraharam in Rajampet town.
On a tip-off, the DSP said the police arrested them while they were wandering under suspicious circumstances on the outskirts of the city. The DSP appreciated Rajampet Rural CI C Narasimhulu, SI Rajagopal and his staff for arresting the accused.
