Y Screens celebrates 2nd Anniversary

Vijayawada: The second anniversary celebrations of Y Screens were held at Pandit Nehru Bus Station here on Wednesday. 

Addressing the media, Y Screens managing director Y Ratna Kumar said that after establishing Y Screens at PNBS for the entertainment of the people of Vijayawada and Amaravati, representatives from nine states came forward to establish the same Y Screens concept there. 

He claimed that the Y Screens paid about Rs 3 crore in the form of taxes to the government till now and had offered employment to 40 youth.

He recalled that many people discouraged him when he wanted to utilise the unused space at PNBS to establish Y Screens for the entertainment. He had to overcome many hurdles and successfully established Y Screens, he said.

He informed that under Y Screen Trade Development (YSTD) about 20 centres would come up soon in the state. In two months, YSTD Kovvuru centre would be opened. 

He said that they had signed 34 MoUs in two Telugu states to establish YSTD centres.
 
He revealed that a YSTD centre would be established at Siddipet in Telangana. He said that 10 YSTD centres would come up this year at various places across AP.

He announced that for one week from Wednesday, physically challenged and journalists can view cinemas at Y Screens free of cost.
