AP Govt to upgrade 220 Urdu primary schools
Guntur: The government will upgrade 220 Urdu primary schools into upper primary schools during this academic year and issued a GO to this effect on Thursday.
Following recommendations sent by the Director School Education Sandhya Rani, the Central government gave its nod and sanctioned an additional budget of Rs 53.49 crore for the same.
In addition to this, the government will construct 660 additional classrooms and sanctioned 660 teacher posts in the upgraded Urdu upper primary schools.
The Director of School Education issued guidelines to Sarva Siksha Abhiyan Project Director and DEOs over the appointment of academic instructors and school assistants.
According to sources, 660 teachers including school assistants-Mathematics-220, social studies-220 and social studies-220 will be recruited. The academic instructors would have to submit their joining report by June 30 and get an honorarium fixed by the government.
The selected instructors would have to attend classes from July 1. In the upgraded Urdu upper primary schools, admissions will be held for VI and VII classes.
