Chandrababu Naidu happy over filling of farm ponds across state
Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that all the farm ponds (Panta Sanjeevani) dug across the state were filled with water, thanks to the rains in last couple of days. He further said that this rainwater harvesting method is helping in increasing the groundwater levels in the state.
Naidu, in a teleconference on Thursday, suggested that officials visit farm ponds in the villages as part of the ongoing Nava Nirmana Deeksha.
The officials informed the Chief Minister that on the fifth day of the Nava Nirmana Deeksha programme, about 35 lakh people participated in the state. Reacting to that, he said that the public participation must be increased in the last two days of the programme, including on Thursday and Friday.
He further informed the officials to make arrangements for the Maha Sankalpa Deeksha, which would be organised on the concluding day of the seven-day programme. The officials visited more than 14,500 developmental works, both completed and under progress and formally launched nearly 20,000 developmental works and the foundation stones laid for around 8,700 works across the state.
The officials further revealed that on Day-5, about 1,23,000 houses were for the poor in the state. According to data provided by the officials during the teleconference, people expressed 56 per cent satisfaction over the skill development programmes being implemented by the state government and remaining 44 per cent gave a feedback that the implementation was not good.
On the initiatives taken by the state government to promote new industries and entrepreneurs in the state in last four years, more than 44 per cent people expressed dissatisfaction and about 56 per cent said it was good.
Revealing the feedback on the ongoing Nava Nirmana Deeksha and associated events, the officials explained an overall positiveness among public was visible. Naidu observed that some leaders in the state were trying to mislead people by showing the good things as bad light. He warned that people would teach a befitting lesson to them at an appropriate time.
