BJP urges ESL Narasimhan to sack Akhila Priya
Hyderabad: A delegation of Andhra Pradesh BJP leaders led by their president Kanna Lakshminarayana submitted a representation to Governor for AP and Telangana ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan here on Thursday urging him to take steps for the removal of tourism Minister Akhila Priya from Andhra Pradesh cabinet for her derogatory comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The delegation brought to the notice of the governor that the tourism minister had attributed statements which Modi had never made to him and tried to provoke the people against him and the BJP at a government function which the delegation said was highly unbecoming of a leader of her stature.
The delegation also drew the attention of the Governor to improper security given to party chief Amit Shah when he visited Tirumala temple recently. The security lapse was glaring and taking advantage of it, the TDP cadres in Tirupati attacked Amit Shah’s convoy. The delegation wanted the Governor to remove from office AP Planning Board vice-chairman C Kutumba Rao for the insinuations he had made against Modi on Wednesday.
